Prioritization and Scheduling of Projects

The following considerations and guiding principles are used to determine the order in which projects enter the pipeline for sequencing or analysis.

  1. Project readiness – In general, the readiness of samples or data dictates the scheduling of projects for entering the sequencing or analysis pipelines.

  2. Whether the project is DOE-mission-related or not. Mission-related projects receive priority over non-mission-related projects.

  3. Rank order determined by peer review. A rank is given to each project during the peer review process based on a set of judging criteria. Projects with better scores receive higher priority.
